For our first date on January 6th 2019, we drove an hour out of town together, turned on our headlamps, and hiked up the Neureuth foothill at lake Tegernsee with wooden sleds in hand. We had a blast sledding down during a wonderfully snowy winter evening. And we've been together ever since!

Favoured by a change in Leeanne's shared living situation, she moved in with Alex already in mid 2019. During the set-up of our apartment, we enjoyed building our own furniture and making the place fit for both our needs.

After Leeanne began working on her PhD, in July 2020, and as things were starting to get back to normal, we welcomed a new family member. We have enjoyed the company of our cat Billie, who brings us lots of joy and happiness to our home since July 2021.

On January 6th 2025 - our 6th anniversary - and a few dozen kilometers from our first date:

Alex took Leeanne to brunch and then on a lovely snowy hike to a dazzling waterfall, but it wasn't as stunning as the stone in his pocket. With a storybook of our love...

Alex asked and Leeanne said yes!

Accompanied by a few family members and close friends, we had our courthouse wedding in the small town Gmund am Tegernsee close by Leeanne's au-pair-family home and the location of our first date.
