We know there are not a lot of options for reasonably priced hotels, so please consult our travel and accomodations page here.
Yes. We encourage our family and friends to bring their dependents, but only those indicated on the sent invitation envelope - they are invited! Please make sure to list them in the RSVP when noting your attendance. There will be a playground at the venue for the bigger kids to enjoy, while a seperate room has been made available for inside play or resting. You are responsible for your own kids, and please be considerate about disturbing the ceremony & other guests.
Yes. We decided to hold a small courthouse wedding in Gmund am Tegernsee on October 25th, 2025.
See pictures of the civic nuptials here
In Germany, only the courthouse can legally marry couples, so that is the usual first step. The german system supports marriage with tax benefits, so it is more fortuitous to marry sooner rather than later. And we want to celebrate with all of you! So that takes time and effort to set up and organise, so we take the time to do both!
We would like our guests to wear cocktail formalwear. This is a semi-formal evening standard, blending elegance with less strictness than black-tie, requiring women in chic dresses (knee/midi length), smart separates, or jumpsuits, and men in suits with ties. More info on the event can be found here.
Your presence is desired! We understand the price and hassle of our "destination" wedding, especially during the festive Oktoberfest season. For those not traveling as far, cash is king! ;)
We are a very modern couple, and we met online - on Bumble! To know more about our love story, check this out.
There is a coach shuttle bus organized to pick up guests to transit the 1 hour drive to the venue and it will drive you back to Munich afterwards - just make sure you RSVP for it. And if you change your mind please just RSVP again.
Our cat, Billie, will not make an appearance at the wedding - sorry!
